Melissa is a photographer and fine artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is dedicated to delivering outstanding, high-quality images in multiple areas of expertise. In the studio or on-location, she specializes in event photography, performance photography, corporate photography, executive portraits, portrait photography.

TRAINING
Melissa fine-tuned her critical eye for producing high-quality photography and post-production processes through her work as a custom color and black-and-white print specialist for several professional photo labs, and as an assistant photographer for a prestigious photo studio in San Francisco. She was an early adopter of web and digital technology, providing graphic design and photography for various start-up companies in the Bay Area.
EDUCATION
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fine Art Photography from Syracuse University, with coursework in the arts, communications and graphic design. Additionally, she studied fine art photography in Florence Italy through Syracuse Abroad, an international study program. A favorite memory—in addition to being immersed in the local culture and art of the Renaissance— was rowing a single scull on the Arno River and under the medieval stone arch Ponte Vecchio Bridge, where a chance encounter (near-miss!) with another sculler led to a thrilling Vespa ride around the Duomo di Firenze and city sights at sunset!
FINE ART
Melissa continues to be inspired by the cultural diversity and beauty of the Bay Area and living on the west coast. Her fine art photography has been exhibited in galleries in San Francisco, Santa Fe, San Diego, and the Berkshires of western Massachusetts.
